Tequila Poland's startling national sales promotion for Philips’ personal CD players, linked with a broadcast and poster campaign, led to a ten-fold increase in personal CD player sales from Philips’ chain of Polish shops.
Poland's biggest national paper distributed a million plus Codem revealers, giving people the chance of deciphering their personal message, by bringing the revealer to a Philips outlet. A simple check against a point of sale display revealed the message.

The Codem patterns contained details of prize rewards from a superb plasma screen TV, to personal CD players to discount vouchers.
The promotion’s success was assured because the bulk of revealers were 'money off' vouchers for selected Philips personal CD players. Consumers, naturally, put the 'voucher' to good use.
