CODEM WINS BEAP’S LONG TERM PROMOTION
Willox Ambler Rodford Law (WARL) wanted a promotion for publishing client, BEAP, that would set it apart from the usual cover-mounted freebies used to drive up bookstall sales and increase subscriptions. The result was a seven month promo based on Codem, enabling readers to win prizes from cars to cruet sets!
WARL exploited Codem’s key benefits of security, longevity, fun and flexibility across six of BEAP’s publications over a campaign lasting until January 2000. Distribution of the revealers was via a cover mount on the July 1999 editions of Puzzler series books. Readers got special instructions telling them how they could see if they had won, but also that they should keep their revealer safe and keep checking the game pages in all six magazines.

Codem provided a sophisticated and secure promotion for BEAP. The promo had more than 250 unique messages embedded in the digital patterns, with the losing revealers capable of showing 126 variants throughout the magazines.
WARL said subscriptions for the magazines increased 33 percent.
